Voss Howard Teacher Recognition Award

The Margaret Voss Howard Teacher Recognition Award, a fund of the Essex County Community Foundation, honors the contributions of representative teachers from the Salem and Marblehead, Massachusetts, school districts (i.e. schools under the jurisdiction of the School Committee in each community). It is a cash award to two selected educators each year, one from Salem and one from Marblehead. In 2010, each award is $500.

The award was created in honor of Dr. Howard’s retirement in 2009 after 40 years in education, primarily in Marblehead and Salem.

To nominate a teacher for recognition, please see the criteria and the nomination form on the following pages. Nominations must be postmarked by May 15, 2010.
